Meet Mrs.Keesler
Hi, I'm Heather Keesler
Thank you for visiting my first website! A little bit about me...
I earned my bachelor's degree in art and design and minored in elementary education at Grand Valley State University. I have been a visual arts educator in the West Michigan area for 20 years! I have taught grades Young 5's to High School. I currently teach middle school art full time for Hamilton Community Schools.
I began offering summer art camp sessions at my home in Holland, Michigan 4 years ago, and it's the highlight of my summer.
I excel in various mediums of art and my years of experience allow students to explore a wide range of creative possibilities. From painting to sculpture, I encourage students to discover their unique voice and express themselves artistically. Ceramics and mixed media arts are my personal favorites!
I believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where each art student can unlock their creative potential. My classes are not just about creating art; they're about discovering the joy of the artistic process while having lots of fun.
Beyond teaching I have a deep love and appreciation for my family, faith, and our pug Paul. When I'm not teaching art, I enjoy hiking at Saugatuck State Dunes.
Please join me for an artistic journey filled with creativity, exploration, and the joy of bringing imagination to life!
